Individual Therapy

Individual therapy gives you the opportunity to work one-on-one with me in a way that centers you and your needs. Though I work with a wide range of presenting problems, and with clients who represent a wide range of identities, backgrounds, and professions, my clinical specialties include:

Career Focused Therapy

Trained in vocational psychology, I specialize in individual therapy with a career focus. Career focused therapy is not the same as career counseling or coaching, though there is some overlap. Topics that I do not work with (but that many career counselors and coaches do work with) include helping you with resume writing, job search strategies, interview advice, negotiation tactics, and figuring out concrete next steps, etc. As a career focused therapist, I do frequently work with clients on the following topics:

  • Career exploration, fit, and choice

  • Career self-management

  • Career transitions

  • Meaning in work

  • Work-life balance

  • Insight into underlying career-related emotions and thoughts

  • Coping with unemployment

Couples Therapy

Every couple has their challenges and struggles; sometimes it requires some outside help to work through them. In couples therapy, I help you communicate more effectively with each other in order to find a way forward. I aim to help you:

  • Better understand each other

  • Better communicate with each other

  • Reconnect

  • Re-establish trust

Pre-Marital Therapy

Pre-marital therapy gives you the opportunity to explore important topics together in a semi-structured way, facilitated by me. By the end of therapy, you will have a greater understanding of each other, and as a result, you will have strengthened the foundation of your relationship and the life that you are building together. Therapy topics include:

  • Communication

  • Expectations

  • Values

  • Finances

  • Family

  • Shared growth and shared dreams

For all types of therapy, I prefer to meet weekly with clients in the beginning, though after an initial period, this may progress to biweekly or every few weeks as needed.
